Ruffles Logo Change

I just have to start this out by saying I completely applaud Ruffles on their logo change!!!! Good job potato chip company!  Not bad at all. That font just perfectly embodies the crunch of a Ruffles potato chip. All those amazing ridges of flavor! Yummy!!!!
Ever since my design classes I look at designing and logos and everything completely differently. Designing has become part of me! The air I breathe, the art I make, I completely and wholeheartedly embrace design because it gave a trajectory and view on design and subsequently the things I create. I might not completely make things that are "design" per se because I still have a fine artist in me fighting to break out but design gave me a certain discipline in my art that I might not have had otherwise and it helped me to grow especially with the wonderful teachers that I met along the way! They all inspired me to work with typography and embrace design as a source of inspiration for my fine art and as a platform to share my art through. One of my most recent teachers gave me the wonderful idea  just use what I enjoy doing and creating as a tool to share everything. In a sense, my art is my marketing tool which I love. What better way to market your art than by using creativity and the art you'd make anyways. Just give it a purpose. I definitely will be working with more textures and fun things like that. Creating digital art.
Back to my main focus, I think I'm going to start adding design ideas and inspiration since it's the foundation of everything I do, in a way. My latest inspiration was definitely those Ruffles chips and their recent logo change! I LOVE food! Definitely a big foodie here and I got so enthusiastic and infatuated with their change. Maybe even more so than with Reese's pieces packaging. Don't get me wrong their old logo was really interesting. The way the characters would curve bluntly yet elegantly into the serifs. It created an aura of coolness like a punk rock band it would give that punch! The way flavor was packed into those ridges. I just get so excited over food. I feel like the new logo just delivers it to the next level! It brings the cool edginess but you can almost taste the flavors just from the design. Maybe I'm just a weirdo (which has been speculated) but I do love that design change.
