Preview of Pumpkin Painting

I love doing Halloween things like pumpkin carving, so I figured why not make a creative video out of it that I could share. I love creating and learning new art forms. Making a video is just another creative form for me :) As a design student, it gives ideas on what I could try. It also helps me grow as an artist. I have always wanted to do fun d.i.y videos, so this was very exciting! I actually had a lot of fun making the video itself. The editing took some time, unfortunately. Maybe for the best, because I got to take a break and actually make good quality videos. My pumpkins were different in theme and I tried to make my witchy one the scarier one, but since it's me it still came out cute! I'm not good at creating things that are completely frightening. My mind always gives it a smidgen of cuteness!

The galaxy themed jack'-o-lantern came out even better than expected! It looks a little trippy and psychedelic. The stars for the eyes make it look so much more playful and fun. I was surprised I don't normally do jagged-y cuts for the tops. It is a lot simpler and edgy than the circle!


I am glad now that the videos are over, so I can have more time to make the actual art. I can't wait to start my ideas. I get a little anxious when I'm not able to make art. However, I will be making more videos because sometimes I feel like I'm not showing enough through my words and art and I get a strong urge to ramble and make a quirky, fun video. I know some people like the real life and after all this blog is to show me as an artist. Videos do just that! :-D
