So many questions!!!!!! ♥  Potato Chip Recipe: Ingredients: Knife/ Vegetable Peeler 3-4 Potatoes Vegetable Oil Baking Cookie Sheet Aluminum Foil (Optional) Nutella (dip/optional) Preheat oven to 350 F. Prepare the cookie sheet or pan that you are cooking on- either by putting vegetable oil directly on the pan or putting it on aluminum foil wrapped cookie sheet. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.  Slice off any unwanted parts of potato.  Slice the potatoes thin (for chips) with the vegetable peeler or with a knife. Looking through my supplies for inspiration and ideas for my next Halloween mixed media project and I came across this quirky combination. It morphs cute and quirky and spooky all in one! A little bad to the bone with the skulls don't you think?  I have been loving the color pink lately and as always I have a love interest in bright colors! I bought the tape recently at a nearby print shop because it is just so multifunctional. The one with quotes on the left is so inspirational and fun. I felt like it added the perfect punch for Halloween with the oranges and greens and the black backgrounds of each make them complementary, especially since the inspirational one has a bit of a punch-y vibe to it with those throwback colors. Can't wait to show you what I make with it! :-D :-P That will happen sometime this week! I even have another digital download coming up so stay tuned! It's kinda spooky and gory! I was online looking at different contests trying to come up with a theme for a new art piece & I stumbled upon one for Valentine's Day that was limited to the colors pink, red, white & black. (The background is a peach color even though the light makes it look more orange-y than it is.) I felt like a girly, psychedelic make-up like piece would fit the theme perfectly so this piece popped into my head inspired by my favorite 70s artist, Peter max. He has a wonderful use of bright colors & pattern motifs. Google him if you ever get a chance! I recently took an online art business class, after taking a hiatus from my shop, and it really enhanced my idea of what my art is all about. It gave me that aha! moment I really needed. The assignment to tell what our personal creativity story was what really sparked my imagination. That got rid of some of the clutter in my brain and showed me where my focus should be at in my art and it gave me the inspiration to fill my shop with more consistent pieces! You can see my somewhat full-er story on my etsy about page . (*will open a new window ) For me the most important sources of inspiration can fall into two categories: my love of hippy art and the shapes and colors and patterns that exist there and my love of my Irish heritage, specifically the lore and rustic feelings I get from there.
