Who am I?

Short version: Started out as a handmade business but I realized I couldn't get over my love of creating things so it progressively got bigger until I had my t-shirt shop and my crafts shop and this website, which just seemed like a natural progression!


Long version: Hi. My name is Katie! I love art and creating. I have been writing, drawing, and generally creating since I was a child. I loved the way creating something for someone else made them smile and how proud I would feel. 



For many years, I had been making posters and cards for my loved ones' special occasions. I knew I had something ORIGINAL to show. I had a NEW direction inspired by all the ideas I could have and come up with. I grew as an artist through my experience as a design student that challenged me to create art from ordinary things such as type and color and layout. It really gave me the encouragement to want to explore my own art style and find what works for me apart from everyone else expected from me. I always had a very hands-on approach.

I make art based on the concept of a textural storytelling that plays with your eyes and encourages you to feel the textures of it. I love bringing vivacity to anything I make through my playful use of color. I want to make things that spark your imagination. The details of the patterns or colors in the expressive work are what give the art its tone and character.

This is my blog dedicated to my crafts and creative pursuits. I just want to share my love of creating and possibly give a look into my quirky and playful real-life personality.
