Whirlpool Painting

Hey guys! Working on a new project. I was inspired to create a whirlpool for an upcoming project. The basic principle was a dry painted acrylic swirl. I added puffy paint for depth & just the bright hue. I'm obsessed with puffy paint & using textures. I know crayon isn't a common medium in art pieces such as this, but I felt like the texture that crayons create complements the dry brushing of the acrylic. The red was my first thought, because I loved the way it looked in my mind. A beautiful contrast between the blue & red. 

I colored the center of the whirlpool with a layered combination of cerulean blue, yellow & the scarlet red from the outside to tie it all together.  After the above picture I created another stream of the puffy paint whirlpool because a real whirlpool usually has a double stream.
