One Man's Trash is My Treasure...
Everyone loves a good trash to treasure story. That's why there's shows dedicated to garbage pickers or ahem treasure hunters (Is there a show called that? Not privy on them.) Also almost everyone loves a good garage sale. Right? Finding something that can fit your needs perfectly while not destroying your budget. Isn't that the beauty of it all? Finding something you would otherwise have to pay sometimes hundreds or in my case a couple small tens- but still a great thing when you're trying to budget and you don't have to go far, which was the case with this hot find! All I had to do was take out the trash and look in the shared dumpster to find something I had been looking for but didn't want to spend very much on, especially with some of these art fairs providing their own tables. But it's nice for those rare occasions when you need one or if you want to decide the perfect arrangements for your items. It will be perfect if I have small little items that can be paired off to the side. That's what I was looking for or if I want to put business cards on it with business stuff? Perfect.
I was very thankful for whoever decided they didn't need it anymore. A lot of things about it make me happy. The marble effect of the table (because it matches my table runner for my longer 8' table nicely). Having a fold-up table for the house that I can set my stuff up on when I want to work in the chair with my back to the window for optimal lighting. Mostly that it wasn't laying in the middle of the dumpster, so that I didn't have to jump in after it. :) Ha. It's really just awesome that they took care in leaning it up against the inside of the dumpster. Great news! Wouldn't you say?
There is a small nick on the contact marble paper from the table, which can be easily covered up by a new layer of contact paper. Do you have an awesome treasure trove story? Let me know in the comments below.
By the way the newspaper is from old family photos. Not from the trash in case you're wondering. :)
