Share Your Time Capsule...*DIY BLOOPER VIDEO LINK*
In honor of leap day, I thought I would write a post about time capsules and what I think I would put in one to commemorate this period of my life. Kind of like tattoos if I wasn't a big baby about pain. Lol.
I always thought time capsules were a pretty neat idea as a kid. What describes you in the current moment. Hmm...I had to think long and hard about this one to truly understand what makes me tick lately. What would you say describes you at the moment? Leave a comment below this post. I would love to know. We all are similar and yet different so it's interesting. Don't you think? We evolve so much and yet in a way there are core values that stick with us.
As a kid I would've said art stuff, 90s rock music (Muse, Coldplay, etc.), etc. Now I think it is more along the lines of earmuffs (haha..I'll explain later), my phone, and my camera. Not to mention a pencil or two to represent my blogging and love of writing.
Last year, I accomplished a lot though. I would say as a reminder, I would include something to represent all the videos I made and hope to continue to make again in the near future so maybe my paint stained computer? Lol.. Can't throw that in the capsule just yet. Somehow I manage to edit stuff and do homework requiring photoshop and editing images with it all stained up like that. Not sure how I do it but that screen needs majorly cleaned. It's just so caked on that screen cleaner wipes don't even want to take it off. Got any tips? Even that witchy looking pumpkin and glass bottle I made that I can't seem to throw away! Lol. Those videos made me super happy, except this kind of brings me to my next point- earmuffs. (Should I post about why I stopped making videos? at least for the time being...hmm questions, questions, questions)
Paint brushes (for the constant art and mixed media), maybe some screen cleaner wipes since I can't put the actual laptop in there and the pumpkin witch -I mean which (ahem...pardon the pun) will probably be rotted by the time I remember to open the time capsule again.
I think maybe something soft or furry like my minions pillow because I'm obsessed with fabrics that are furry and soft. Perhaps a copy of the James Masters picture from the meet and greet? I hope I'm doing this right, but it's my time capsule so it's however I want it I guess. Create it how I want it, I guess?
Here's a link to the video that caused me to destroy my laptop with paint...lol. Yes there is a giant mess in the background. I'm always in a million places at once so I don't always catch those things until the last moment. If you watch my videos they're filled with bloopers like that. :)
What's in your time capsule???? Anything else you want to respond to? Let me know if the print is TOO LARGE! The background is a little busy. For those of you using the desktop version you know what I'm talking about. :) I love the background though. It's a lot more fun and ME than the plain purple. I love textures. I'm a designer so I will add that to my to-do list. Probably just reduce the color of the purple I used to a pastel purple instead of fuchsia. I just needed a change.

Living with someone who loves to have the tv on all day everyday and turns it at loud (I know...I know. She's hard of hearing and being hearing challenged myself I get it) as possible when I love my quiet and being deep in thought and contemplative about what life brings and being at a crossroads with my art and deciding things about college and possibly a career in graphic design. Living with someone who is the complete opposite can be
quite...frustrating?, to say the least. My ears start feeling like they're going to bleed. It's just so cruel sometimes, especially when the wifi doesn't work and I can't lug my laptop elsewhere making me stuck in that one spot listening to the same old things on repeat. Starts feeling like a broken record. So yes..earmuffs. Sorry if that was depressing at all.
