Vegetarian: not feeling full
I decided to go vegetarian because I'm too critical of myself to be vegan. I'm like that trainer that pushes you until you cry. I get obsessed with certain things and will obsessively check, especially under stress. I don't like bringing out that side of myself so I do give myself leniency. I broke down the other night & had sushi, which is highly nutritional anyways. I saw on a fellow vegetarian's video that a vegetarian diet can be compounded nutritionally with the omega-3s found in fish. Granted I do try to limit it. Mostly because I'm realizing ew fish tastes like fish... BUT that store bought sushhhhii. That was yummy! I think it was the imitation ... Really good! Worth the choice. Being a vegetarian is really hard, though. I was at the fair and mine only has meat, pizza & sweets so I was at a loss. Carnivorous me was eyeing EVERYONE wielding a corn dog. I was feeling unsettlingly hungry so I grabbed a chicken pita. Yeah...whenever I do slip up with non-fish meat I always regret it. The chicken was chewy and fat. Seems like a sign from the universe to not eat meat. I picked off the chicken and ate the cucumber sauce and veggies. Just as yummy! I've been learning a lot of recipes and making up my own as I go along. Pretty fun! I just think I have to adjust to that absence of feeling bloated, because it's weird. When I'm finished eating I feel like there's something missing. Part of the reason why I went for the chicken just to see if it would help. Trick I learned: eat nuts like cashews and peanuts and stuff. Makes you feel more settled and less uncomfortable. I get a little gasy to be honest. I don't know if it's because I'm not used to it or if I just need to make sure I drink more water. Just a weird feeling in my stomach like it's empty even though I just filled it. That's why they say to eat nuts because whatever nutrient found in meat that you become addicted to is also found in nuts. Why do I want to say nuts so often? My blog might ping for a creepy site if I'm not careful.
