Quirky Heartmade

I love working on art but this particular piece was created after a Oracle card session. I just realized a lot of things that came into play of my experience as an artist were all created by the initial experience I had as a child.  I was about 5 years old when my lungs collapsed from pneumonia and I remember the machines flat lining and staring at the ceiling when I started gradually moving out of my body and hearing a voice say create and time works differently here. Then they shocked me with the paddles and I looked down at my body and moved closer to my body until I was back in it. From then forward I felt different. I always felt like an old soul but something about that made me feel wiser. I remember my 7th birthday staring at the cake and looking up at my mom and feeling like I was reliving this life. This particular piece was reminds me that a lot of my inner self energy comes through when I'm in nature.

My creative process has changed a lot in the recent months, so I feel like there's a TON to catch you up on. My basis of this rebranding was to create functional creative objects. As you know I started working on a creative product line that I am PROUD to tell you is a handmade accessory line from handbags to jewelry (scroll down for pictures)!!!!! I will ALSO be designing t-shirts. I want to donate a certain amount of funds/proceeds to charity, because I feel it is important to give back. I still need to research that. I'll walk you through my thought process if you're interested. Are You Amused? First off, I plan on changing my business name from Quirky Heartmade to Amused Style. Big change, I know. What do you think? Think it's easier to remember and type out? That has been weighing on my shoulders for like 3 years- ever since I went with Quirky Heartmade. For the last couple months I have been thinking about redesigning a NEW website. Coming up with new ideas for items to put in it. Researching different layouts and tools and even contemplating a NEW logo to go with it. It will still be a creative products website much like what I had with etsy but with a lot more products that I am coming up with now that I think will be complicated to handle (even with Etsy's new design). There's a lot of #bts tinkering going on that I would love to show you but don't wanna give too much away. I've really gotten into taking photos of nature lately on my instagram which is in part due to its correspondence with the new idea I have going on and my rebrand. There will also be tons of bright hues like a psychedelic kind of style mashed with my love of creating art. I went for a walk in the park to take a break from making art and thought it was so peaceful I would share it with you guys. Then Twitter reminded me it's #wanderlustwednesday so I knew I had to post it. How many of you are getting ready for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow? I know I am, especially celebrating a family member's birthday that day. This tree is so gnarly. Cool! :) What about that corkscrew tree root? Just another twinkling tree. I love when trees are barren but have those scattered leaves at the top. So cute   Ok.This tree was my all time favorite because it kind of  looks like a giant caterpillar or anteater. All those limbs sticking out like legs. Gross but also cool! Haha! This was random of me. I was standing in front of a nearby waterfall. Thought it was cute. I suck at taking videos but I thought I would show you around my favorite place in the park.

Taking pictures as I was walking home earlier. It was raining so my camera on my phone didn't want to cooperate but I got some fun ones. I always feel like a crazy person taking pictures for my blog but it speaks to my soul(not helping me here, Katie.) and I honestly love taking pictures.   I included this first image on my IG(@quirkyheartmade). Side note: My Instagram could definitely use some serious work but I love bright, happy colors and creating and all of my creative passions together start to look :P ...overwhelming. :-D I loved the colors of the street lamp bouncing off my face to create that lovely side halo. Isn't it interesting? I was not happy with the rain, as you can tell. Rain..rain...go away, but don't because you make more fun pictures to take. :D That's such a beautiful texture and the bleariness of the rain and all the streetlamps bouncing off of everything creating fun glow-y effects.
