Quirky Heartmade

In honor of leap day, I thought I would write a post about time capsules and what I think I would put in one to commemorate this period of my life. Kind of like tattoos if I wasn't a big baby about pain. Lol. I always thought time capsules were a pretty neat idea as a kid. What describes you in the current moment. Hmm...I had to think long and hard about this one to truly understand what makes me tick lately. What would you say describes you at the moment? Leave a comment below this post. I would love to know. We all are similar and yet different so it's interesting. Don't you think?   We evolve so much and yet in a way there are core values that stick with us.  As a kid I would've said art stuff,  90s rock music (Muse, Coldplay, etc.), etc. Now I think it is more along the lines of earmuffs (haha..I'll explain later), my phone, and my camera. Everyone loves a good trash to treasure story. That's why there's shows dedicated to garbage pickers or ahem treasure hunters (Is there a show called that? Not privy on them.) Also almost everyone loves a good garage sale. Right? Finding something that can fit your needs perfectly while not destroying your budget. Isn't that the beauty of it all? Finding something you would otherwise have to pay sometimes hundreds or in my case a couple small tens- but still a great thing when you're trying to budget and you don't have to go far, which was the case with this hot find! All I had to do was take out the trash and look in the shared dumpster to find something I had been looking for but didn't want to spend very much on, especially with some of these art fairs providing their own tables. But it's nice for those rare occasions when you need one or if you want to decide the perfect arrangements for your items. It will be perfect if I have small little items that

While everyone else was snuggling with their man or woman (I don't judge!) I did curl up with something that holds a special place in my heart! Isn't he so adorable? ! Hey guys! Trying to balance the blogging with school & everything. One thing school always does is get you thinking about what you want for the future. Ever since I became single I've been a lot more energetic and trying to find the things that fit myself- finding my independent identity after so many years of dating and defining myself based on my longest term love interest. As an adult, you don't really want to rely on anyone else for your sense of identity and that was really starting to frustrate because I wanted to truly find myself. I look around and I question what I want to do with my life because I absolutely love being creative in whatever capacity that takes on. Some days I get up and get dressed in a way that's super creative and makes me feel good. Like we all do. Those days always make me feel like I'm a hippy that got transported to the wrong decade. I find it fascinating how my "happy" attire is always super colorful, full of flowery tops & bright hues. I bet my mom, the actual hippy (who mind you is always telling me to do a farrah fawcett look with my hair...no just no) loves to be reminded of those days characterized in my style. When it comes to style, I always saw myself drawn to boho but in a resistant sort of way because it matched my dreamy spirit and revealed my love of color but it was always associated with hipsters.
