In honor of leap day, I thought I would write a post about time capsules and what I think I would put in one to commemorate this period of my life. Kind of like tattoos if I wasn't a big baby about pain. Lol. I always thought time capsules were a pretty neat idea as a kid. What describes you in the current moment. Hmm...I had to think long and hard about this one to truly understand what makes me tick lately. What would you say describes you at the moment? Leave a comment below this post. I would love to know. We all are similar and yet different so it's interesting. Don't you think?   We evolve so much and yet in a way there are core values that stick with us.  As a kid I would've said art stuff,  90s rock music (Muse, Coldplay, etc.), etc. Now I think it is more along the lines of earmuffs (haha..I'll explain later), my phone, and my camera. Everyone loves a good trash to treasure story. That's why there's shows dedicated to garbage pickers or ahem treasure hunters (Is there a show called that? Not privy on them.) Also almost everyone loves a good garage sale. Right? Finding something that can fit your needs perfectly while not destroying your budget. Isn't that the beauty of it all? Finding something you would otherwise have to pay sometimes hundreds or in my case a couple small tens- but still a great thing when you're trying to budget and you don't have to go far, which was the case with this hot find! All I had to do was take out the trash and look in the shared dumpster to find something I had been looking for but didn't want to spend very much on, especially with some of these art fairs providing their own tables. But it's nice for those rare occasions when you need one or if you want to decide the perfect arrangements for your items. It will be perfect if I have small little items that...

So freaking cool! I was looking to sell my art in-person so I started scouting out art fair coordinators. The first I tried was packed with vendors, so I tried another I had found doing art fairs for the winter last year. They have a wide array of events, so I started discussing selling my art via email and luckily for me there were still openings! Rather soon I might add. :) I thought I'd have to wait. I was so happy! I'm thrilled because everything I want is coming true and it's all falling into place. I sent in the contracts on Tuesday and thought I would mark this special occasion with a fun little blog. My first art fairs to get exposure and show more people my awesome stuff. Isn't that crazy? I got some order forms and just like this is thrilling! I'm going to be selling at live craft fairs which means I have to work on a TON more stuff. You can come if you're in the northeast Ohio area. quirkyheartmade.etsy.com I created this piece as I was inspired by the colors. I thought the colors of the green fabric made a very nice contract and breathability...a freshness of sorts when combined with the rosebud patterned fabric. Something about the green fabric just made me read it as the perfect flower cutouts. The pieces are adhered with super glue and the green "flowers" are adhered at the center with some give at the petal's ends to resemble real flowers in the way they flow and move.   Etsy original listing details: I love the combination of nature patterns in this fabric art on 8x10 canvas!
